Shintaro Shimizu signs for Phnom Penh Crown

Shintaro Shimizu (清水 慎太郎, Shimizu Shintarō, born August 23, 1992) has signed for reigning champions and League Cup holders Phnom Penh Crown as their first major signing of 2023.

A quality striker

Shinto has spent the majority of his career in the second and third tiers, which included nearly a decade with Omiya Ardija before joining Fagiano Okayama in 2020 and FC Ryukyu in 2021

Last season, the 30-year-old joined Nakhon Ratchasima of the Thai Premier League, where he played. 14 games scoring 2 goals, before becoming a free agent.

According to a source from the club he would provide “additional competition” to an already exciting front line, which helped the club secure back to back championships last year.

Japanese In Cambodia Football
